Before you start
- Tape measure, pencil and spirit level
- Sharp snap-off knife and/or fine-tooth saw
- Clean, dry cloth
- Optional: our Wall Prep & Adhesive Pack for textured or porous walls
1. Prepare the wall
The surface must be clean, dry, flat and free of dust or grease. Freshly painted walls need at least 7 days to cure. Leave the panels flat in the room for 24 hours so they settle to the room's temperature and humidity.
2. Plan the layout
Decide where the first panel goes and draw a vertical line with a level. Measure around power points, switches and windows and transfer the cuts to the back of the panel.
3. Cut to size
To narrow a panel, cut through the felt between two slats with a sharp knife. To shorten it, cut across the slats with a fine-tooth saw. Sand the cut edge lightly if needed.
4. Fix the panel
Peel the protective film from the back, line the panel up with your vertical line and press it firmly across the whole surface, working from the centre outwards. Butt the next panel up so the 20 mm gap stays even.
5. Finish
Wipe off dust with a dry cloth. Avoid leaning anything against the panels for 24 hours while the adhesive cures.
